Stress...

I always told myself that as soon as little Collin was here, I'd blog a lot more... HA!  Nope!  I absolutely love blogging, but this has been the last thing on my mind.  Forgive me!

Time has just flown by since that incredible, terrifying, and emotional day Collin was born.  I can't believe he'll be 6 weeks on Wednesday!  He's grown so much already!  Who knew you could love something so small so much!!!  He's my little stinker  :)  I frequently think about the day I found out I was pregnant...  It's crazy to think that something so cute and chunky started out soo teensy.  It really is miraculous to think how a human life is formed!  I sure do love my little miracle boy.  :)

I have absolutely loved the past 6 weeks I've had with Collin boy.  But it makes me sad to think that I won't be able to snuggle him all day anymore starting in a few weeks [thankfully it will be grandma doing the snuggling, and not a random daycare worker].  I only have 4 more weeks until I go back to work.  I really can't believe how quickly the time has gone!  I try to keep my mind off this subject, because when I start thinking about it, a load of stress comes flooding in.  Life is going to get... well, stressful!!!  What is going to be so stressful, you ask?  Well...

1) I'll be working full time, while...

2) ...[hopefully] going to school full time, while...

3) ...training for another half marathon, all while...

4) ...loving, feeding, kissing, raising, and playing with my sweet babe.

You guys.  HOW?!!  How am I going to do all this??  Oh goodness...  Just typing this my head is starting to throb.  Seriously, I thank God every single day that I have a husband who is willing to help me as much as he does!  I couldn't do any of this without him.  Not only does he help me so much with school [Mr Smarty Pants], but I don't know a lot of hubby's who would offer to feed the babe at night when I'm beyond exhausted so I can get a few extra hours of sleep!  He's amazing.  Love you Jared!!

How am I going to prioritize all this though?  Someone please remind me that school will be worth it...  Because I'm about to just throw in the towel!  [kidding... sort of]  Sheesh...  I had a hard enough time doing #1-3 last year, and now I've added a sort of important #4!  I mean, it's only one more bullet to my list, but that little bullet point is sort of a needy one  :)  I don't know how this is going to work, but I know it will.  It will have to.  So friends...  If I fall off the face of the planet in a few weeks, don't hold it against me!

I'm trying to figure out what I can cut out of my life if I really can't handle everything at once, and the only thing I can think of is to cut some of my classes  :(  But I really don't want to.  I should've graduated years ago, I just want to be done!  But it might have to happen.  I have to work full time, there's no cutting that out...  I have to go to school, whether I drop a class or not, we'll see...  And for my sanity, I really need to start running again.  I know it will help me lose the baby weight much more quickly, and I need that for my mental health!  Plus, I know it will be so important to be able to work off some stress each morning.  I miss being in shape!  And quite frankly, if I'm not training for a race, I find excuses not to run.  So, #3 is not cut-able.  I need the exercise.  And #4?  Well, that's easily my favorite stressor, so I'm not cuttin' that one!  :)

My plan--  Luckily for the next few semesters, I will be able to continue taking exclusively online classes [not sure what I'll do when I don't have anymore online options...  But I'll worry about that when the time comes!].  Since I'm already up all night early with Collin, I see no reason that I can't go running early in the morning before getting ready for work.  I've already gone running at 6AM once this week...  Hopefully I can keep it up.  As far as homework, I'm really hoping that the 4 classes I'm signed up for aren't too time-consuming.  If I'm able, I'm hoping to do most of my homework on my lunch breaks at work.  This worked for me last semester, so we'll see.  Then, if all goes as planned, I'll be able to spend my precious evenings with my two boys  :)  This seems like a good plan, right?!  I just hope my "plan" is doable enough to become "reality."

As you can see, I'm a little stressed!  It consumes my mind!  And I only have two bullet points to deal with at the moment [#3 & 4]!  So pray for me in the next few weeks haha!  And please, if you have any excellent tips for how you deal with stress, I am open to suggestions!  Maybe I'll start meditating...  Praying is sort of similar, right??  Because I'm sure I'll be praying my guts out!  :)

Don't worry Boy, Mama has a headache too!
