**drum roll please**
.......home. Seriously? Yes, seriously. We'll be here. LAME! But don't worry, we'll still make it count! Plus, it's for a good reason. Although we are going to Bear Lake with my family the beginning of August [and somewhat counting that as our anniversary trip... although it's with family... and not on our anniversary], we are going to save our money for a BIG trip next year. Oh, and the next year. :) There will be some serious making up to do for skipping this year!
Okay, but really. We have some serious saving to do. And I'm stoked! Here's how it started... Jared and I wanted to skip out on a trip this year so we could save up for a Europe trip together for our anniversary next year. We were having a super hard time trying to narrow down where we wanted to go, since we want to go absolutely everywhere but only have probably about two weeks to do it [if only we could take a month+ off work!]. Seriously, we want to go to Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, Spain... And no, we couldn't narrow any of those down! When I told my parents what our plans were, of course my dad said he really wanted to go to Germany [where he was born and raised until age 10, in Mainz to be exact], and then my sister said they would want to go too! So then I started thinking... Okay, what if we take a trip with my family next year, use our SkyMiles to pay for tickets to save money, and then the next year for our 5 year anniversary we can go back to Europe and spend two weeks in Italy [since there are SO many things we want to explore in that country]!
So that's the plan! :) But I need your help.
Here is our itinerary so far-- We want to go the beginning of June next year. We want to fly in and out of Paris, France and spend a few days there. Go to Germany for the majority of the trip, and then make a pit-stop for a few days in Switzerland. However, I'm having a hard time figuring out where exactly in Germany and Switzerland we want to go. What cities to stay in and what places to explore. So if any of you have any tips for us, any at all, you don't know how much I would appreciate it!
Let the saving begin!!!

So you are planning to go twice? Sweet!! The first one next year is France Germany and Switzerland? Or are you still thinking Italy for the first trip? Really consider the cost of flight when planning for 2 trips. First one Skymiles will pay for but unless your planning on spending or flying a ton haha the cost of flights are a big chunk. It might've worth it while your already over there to add another week (save that PTO) and hit up Italy for half the time.
Very Fun!!! I loooove Europe
