Zoo Date!

We had a fun day at the zoo with our friends Lizzy and Andy!!  It was our first time really meeting Lizzy's cute husband Andy, and I must say, these newlyweds are adorable together!  I'm excited for more double dates with them in the future!

We didn't get to the zoo until around 4PM [I had a hair appointment, and Jared went to watch the Tour of Utah in the avenues], but it was nice getting there when most people were starting to leave.  And two hours was plenty of time to see all our favorite animals...  Except they took out the bear exhibit [remodeling]...  How lame!

Oh boy, I'm really not a fan of this picture, but I had to post it because...  As I was sitting there, I got pooped on!  Yes.  Pooped on.  There was a nest right above us, and all of a sudden I felt this little wet splash, almost like it was raining...  But when I looked down, nope, definitely not rain.  Poop.  So gross!!!

The poop nest.  Thanks a lot, birds.
It was a lot of fun being able to watch all our favorite animals.  :)  My favorites were definitely the lemurs and the tigers!  The lemurs were so funny; there were two new babies, and they kept jumping on and biting each other...  Adorable, for sure!

Obviously, being a huge cat person, my favorite were the tigers!  They were absolutely beautiful!  I just wanted to climb in there with them and give their fluffy faces a big, soft squeeze!  Ahh!!!  If I could have a tiger pet, I would have 10 of them!  ;)

Yes, these are the husbands.  And no, we didn't plan on them matching...  They were almost identical.  Haha, it was actually quite embarrassing!  I'm thinking that's why they are standing 5 feet from each other!  We told them to act like their favorite animals...  Jared was a gorilla [even though we saw none...?], and Andy was a rhino...  At least that's what he said.  HA!!

It was a very hot day, and all over the zoo they had these big fans with misting machines attached!  Aww, they were heavenly!  As you can see, everyone looks very content with themselves  :)

It was a ton of fun being able to act like little kids for a few hours...  Life would be so boring if we had to act our age ALL the time, right?!  I definitely don't think there's anything wrong with acting a little childish sometimes!  It makes a marriage fun!

So CHEERS to occasional immaturity!  :)
