Let me take some time to tell you a little bit about our baby's first year! :)
***Note: None of the poses or positions done by Max was in any way aided by the help of his parents--they were all done by himself! Yes, he's kind of a goofball.
~First and foremost, he sure does love his Mom&Dad!
~He never gives up! Even though he doesn't fit in my shoes as nicely as he used to, he still tries SO hard!
...and the same goes for the bathroom sink, too!
~He sure enjoys playing in places he isn't supposed to!
For example, his litter box...
...and towel cabinets!
~However, he sure doesn't like baths...
...or the birds and crawling things that come looking for friends.
~His favorite game is Rummikub... Whether it's playing with us, or interrupting our game.
~He sure loves his kitty tower, but not after Mama clips his claws... He can't get too high after that.
~He loves being outside on our deck so he can watch the cars and other animals down below!
~His favorite night time game is to see how much he can keep Mom&Dad awake. If he's not running a Midnight Rodeo in our room, then he's laying on top of Mom or Dad.
***Side note: It's a common occurrence for me to wake up in the middle of the night not being able to breathe because Max has decided to get comfortable across my stomach. Fatty.
~He used to love to cuddle, but he's gotten too big for laps. Way too big for laps.
~He does whatever he can to get comfy... Whether that be laying on his back like a weirdo or laying "broken" to stretch his spine.
~Toes are his absolute favorite! Especially when it gets hot at night and toes come peeking out... That's when he's on "toe watch" most! [Sometimes he even likes falling asleep with toes in his teeth, like pictured below]
~Hide and Seek is one of his favorite games... But he is very sad that he doesn't fit under the ottoman anymore :(
~But I think his favorite thing, whether we like it or not [good thing we do!], is never to stop...
growing and GROWING and GROWING!
He went from this little fluff ball to longer than my legs... From less than a pound to 17-18 pounds! And he won't be full grown until 3-5 years old! His kitty daddy is around 30 pounds!
We sure love you, Maxy Beast! We hope you have a real nice fluffy birthday!
***Yes, I am aware that I am somewhat of a photo junkie... Don't judge.
